All it needs is: Their job title Their company And it generates an opener that speaks directly to the challenges someone in that role is usually dealing with. Takes about 15 seconds. (Built myself) Example: Generic: “Hi Sarah, I help marketing leaders improve their funnel conversion…” Personalized: “Sarah — saw you’re running marketing at a growth-stage SaaS company. Most heads of marketing at your stage are juggling demand gen, product marketing, and team scaling at the same time. Curious what’s slowing growth more — lead quality or deal speed?” Why this matters for business owners? Generic → ignored Relevant → read Human → replied
