Any body else scared? Or it’s just me?
I was laid off a few weeks ago 🥺
It still feels strange to even write those words, especially after 11 years of non-stop work.
For years, my days were defined by movement — site walks, reports, inspections, constant decisions. Now everything has gone quiet...
No deadlines. No calls. Just space — the kind that makes you face yourself.😰
It’s uncomfortable.
Some mornings, it feels like standing at the edge of a fog — knowing there’s something ahead, but not seeing where to step next.
Part of me is afraid of losing momentum.
The other part wonders if this silence is actually a gift — maybe the first real moment I’ve had to choose my direction instead of just follow one.
If you’ve ever been forced to start over…
1) how did you find your footing again?
2) Did you chase stability, or listen to the pull of what felt right — even if it scared you?
Please share if you are (or have been) in this situation before, as I need to know how you dealt with it.🙏❤️
