Need Help Improving ID Pronunciation in VAPI Calls
Hey everyone! I’m new to VAPI and running into a small but frustrating issue.
My assistant is reading out part IDs like LJ6T-18B955-FD or 4F0919604, but it’s speaking too fast and saying “O” instead of “zero,” and sometimes “minus” instead of “dash.” I’ve already told it to read them slowly one character at a time, but it still says it too fast the first time, and only slows down after being asked to repeat.
It also sounds kind of robotic and sometimes glitches while saying the ID — which can confuse the rep.
Has anyone found a good way to get the AI to pronounce these numbers slowly and clearly the first time?
