Going back
I’m rewatching a lot of the videos (some for the 3rd and 4th time 🥴) but I just need to go back to where I started making some ground and really dig in deep in what I am still struggling with. Lots of emotions that I’m allowing my flesh to win at. Thanks for this platform! 🙏🏻
Goals
My Goal has always been to raise kids that know and love Jesus, more then ever I want that but also just to be the best example of that I can be day in and day out.

My Goal
My original goal, before I changed my mindset about parenting a few years ago, was to have obedience and cooperation all the time. I grew up in that, so it was all I knew. It was exhausting and I was tired of being angry all the time. I knew something wasn't right. There was this voice inside me (probably the Ruach lol) always questioning "is this the right thing to do?" And I was always noticing things like "he/she does that because you do that. How is it fair to punish them for something you've trained them to do?" It's been a few years since I started making changes. Until now, I've been following parenting coaches and getting as much free content as possible, as well as posting questions in Facebook groups for gentle parents. I've also been seeing a therapist for almost 4 years, so I've been getting help from her. My goal has shifted to building a healthy relationship with my kids. I'm learning how to connect before I correct. I'm learning to see things from their perspective. That part has been most successful since I started learning more about what is "developmentally appropriate" behavior for their age and brain development. I've seen wonderful changes in our household, but I'm definitely still coming up short. I'm hoping to find more answers here.
