Been Runnings Ads For A Year, Here's What I've Learnd
Hey my Guys (and Girls). I done the calculations this week on the effectiveness of my Portrait ads campaign. In this video I break down how much its earned, what worked, what didn't work and what Ive learnt to implement going forward. As of today I'm increasing the service area to attack the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast so lets see how that impacts revenue. Also hopefully this week i will have my high ticket offer ads ready to go to turn this into overdrive. If you have 10 min its worth a watch. Luke

Nice Guy vs The Big Dog
Woof. Back in May, I wrapped up a $3,600 project for a design & fitout company I’d worked with on several projects for over 18 months. Great history, solid trust — until they ghosted the final $1,800 invoice right AFTER delivery. I followed up with the CEO (my main contact), watched every email get opened, and got nothing back (go install Mailsuite into your mail platform to see the exact time and date anyone opens or re-views your emails). Eventually, I folded. Lost the money, and honestly, some self-respect. Fast forward to four weeks ago: my car had an issue that was going to cost $1.5 - 2k to fix. Cue: “F* You, Big Dog Energy.”** I reached out to their original contact (no longer at the company but related to the CEO) and called out how unprofessional it was. Followed with one final, direct email to the current team. Firm but calm. Five days later: $1,800 in my account. Eleven days after that: they re-engaged for a new project. And today, I received full upfront payment of $2,300 before we’ve even discussed shoot dates. Lessons: - Be the Big Dog, not always the nice guy - Authority earns respect faster than being agreeable. - You don’t need a reason to stand firm, but sometimes, it takes one sharp reminder to realise your worth. - If you’re delivering products or service, probably find a way to always get paid before completing the service - even for the ones you trust
