About the Opportunity:
The Associate Network Engineer role is responsible for delivering technical support for wireless and wired client networks. This position ensures the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems, contributing directly to client satisfaction and operational reliability. The role requires multitasking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to manage technical issues and support remote clients effectively. It supports the organization’s goal of maintaining robust and secure network environments for its customers.
Responsibilities:
• Open and diagnose Tier 1 technical support tickets for remote client networks
• Program and provision wireless network systems for remote site deployments
• Maintain detailed documentation of client systems
• Perform firmware updates on client systems remotely
• Manage client contacts and accounts within network systems
• Collaborate with clients and team members by sharing knowledge and coaching
• Learn and apply new technologies and products
• Monitor alerts from live network systems and escalate or create tickets as needed
• Draft knowledge base articles to enhance team expertise
• Provide occasional after-hours emergency support for clients
Requirements:
• Minimum of 1 year of networking experience with current Network+ or CCNA certification
• Basic understanding of network protocols, firewalls, routers, switching, TCP/IP, STP, and RF coverage
• Basic understanding of wireless LANs, authentication, security, and encryption protocols
• Experience supporting customer environments in helpdesk or support roles
• Strong attention to detail including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization
• Availability for night and weekend support as needed
