The Shot before the Shot!
I had a realization standing over a buck in the swamp that changed how I think about everything.
I had made the shot before I even drew back the string. 🏹
25 minutes of watching that deer work through the tag alders. Half draw twice. Wind swirling. A smaller buck shows up out of nowhere. And then — without thought — the arrow was gone.
That's when I understood what instinctive shooting actually is.
Not luck. Not talent. A PROCESS. Brain, hand-eye, kinesthetic perception — all of it coming together through years of deliberate preparation.
A lot of people think you either "have it" or you don't.
But here's what I actually believe: the shot happens long before you pick up your bow!
Question for the community 👇
What was the moment YOU realized your shooting had become more than mechanical — that it had become a process?
