How did you get into traditional bow hunting

I am a late starter to hunting. I always liked bows shooting. I did not go hunting for the first time till late 30s and it was a gun season. I was given an old dart on compound and started shooting it and started archery hunting. It was a process of learning from mistakes. I learned I am right handed but left eye dominant. So got a left handed bow and continued to hunt and shoot and I was given an old right handed bear super Kodiak from the 70s and got a new string and started shooting. I was hooked. I finally bought a left handed trad bow a ifl recurve. It is something with the simplicity of the stick a string but yet the challenge of getting closer to the game. Missed my shot this year on the deer. But was really hooked and now have a custom hybrid long bow ordered. The miss for me was just as much excitement as my first buck.
