Off season reading
So what archery books are you reading or what do you recommend? I’m in the middle of Bows on the little delta and so far I highly recommend it.

@Grant Richardson yep! Just arrived this week. I liked the red and white ones a lot but these are next level. A clean, classic look with the barred feathers is probably my favorite

Not to bad for an old homemade bow thats been pieced together. Its always good when you get to shoot after work and relax a bit.

Nice shooting! Missing it right now due to the extremely cold temps here in Ontario.
Predator hunting with traditional gear
This is something pops up from time to time - and I am a believer to a certain degree-where the species warrants control in Predator hunting. 🐺 They are an opportunist hunter whose diet is primarily rodents and small mammals but they will predate fawns and deer yarded up in some circumstances as well. 🦌 🐁 However the big issues is that eastern coyotes are a compensatory immigration species- so when one or two are taken from a habitat range - others will move in to fill that void left. My biggest issue is killing an animal and not consuming it and yes I have eaten coyote I took years back.. it is possible. I’ve hunted them for livestock control with a bow years ago when the sheep farm I assisted had issues and no firearm discharge in the area. For those thinking this is impossible to do due to the issue getting them into bow range- this is an adult male eastern coyote- I mouth called him in after pulling over on the side of the road this week and carefully tucking myself in downwind of him and rabbit crying across the field - he was less than 15 yards on the ground when I barked at him to let him know I was there. Have you hunted Predators with traditional gear?

Posted this back in October. First one I've taken with my longbow. Best thing to do for using them is to learn how to case skin for the fur markets. Here in Ontario you can just your small game license to target fur bearing mammals with hunting seasons. You can then sell them or ship them for fur auctions or learn to tan. I probably won't ever eat one but you never know what enough BBQ sauce can do.

@Colton Deline thanks! It's currently in a bag in my freezer skinned out until I get the time to order the tanning chemicals. Going on my wall. I've trapped few dozen here in Ontario but this one is worth remembering.

Thank you for the add, I've been bow hunting for 30 years, I'm always looking to improve my shooting.
