Your opinion on Sustainability...
So, I wrote a LinkedIn newsletter about sustainability recently (https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7451970528921223169/), and I wanted to get your opinion on the whole subject itself.
Especially because a few of you are from other countries.
My ex-in-laws lived in Denmark, and I saw first hand how wasteful the U.S. can be with many things (our health, transportation, food consumption, luxuries, etc etc.
That's not new.
However, the part I want to discuss is:
  • What is it like in other countries? I know a lot of Europe does "build and burns" for trade show booths. Is that sustainable? That sounds wasteful. Is there another way to look at it? I assume I'm ignorant to the PRO's of that type of exhibiting and would love some first-hand feedback.
  • If you are in the US, what steps is your company taking to do their part in making this world a better place for our kids, grandkids, etc.?
  • OR, if, like me, you REALLY tried to do something sustainable and it ended up being a total nightmare - like my restaurant mat example for my booth at NRA mentioned in that Newsletter.
Help me understand your opinion and experience in your world according to sustainability.
