In this week’s Tech Tool Friday, I’m breaking down one of the fastest ways to create a fully customized song.
The days of paying someone thousands of dollars to write a song for you? Pretty much gone.
And yes, I know AI is a touchy subject for some people who are worried about it replacing jobs. That’s not my lane. I just share tools and information that help you be more creative, work faster, and get better results. Use them or don’t, it’s totally your call.
Suno is an AI-powered music creation platform that lets you generate original songs (vocals and instrumentation included) using simple inputs like text prompts, mood or genre descriptions, or even uploaded audio. You can use it right in your browser or on mobile, and it also includes a built-in audio workspace if you want to tweak things further.
At its core, Suno takes an idea in your head and turns it into a complete music track…fast!!
How Much Does Suno Cost?
Suno uses a credit-based subscription model:
🆓 Free (Basic) Tier
- Cost: $0
- Credits: 50 credits per day (1 song “costs” 10 credits and Suno will give you 4 options for that song)
- Usage rights: Non-commercial (you cannot use the music commercially on this tier)
- Best for: Testing the platform and free exploratory use.
📈 Pro Plan
- Cost: about $8–$10/month (cheaper if billed annually)
- Credits: ~2,500 per month (~500 songs)
- Usage rights: Commercial use allowed

- Cost: about $24–$30/month
- Credits: ~10,000 per month (~2,000 songs)
- Usage rights: Commercial use allowed
- Benefits: Highest capacity, best for volume and professional usage.
Notes about credits:
- Daily credits reset on the free tier, monthly on paid plans.
- Credits don’t roll over, but paid users can buy extra credits if needed.

I’m sharing a VERY simple example here. And yes… it’s about my passion = trade shows. 😄
I dropped in a quick 200-character prompt to generate the lyrics, picked a music style, and hit Create.
That’s it. A few seconds later, Suno kicked out four different versions of the same song.
The song’s called “Booth to Bank.” 2 versions of the song are attached + the lyrics.
Are the lyrics perfect? Nope. But that’s not the point.
The point is this: Suno can create something like this in about two minutes, and I wanted to show you what’s possible.
