I'm GMing for a group of new players. In session zero it was agreed that with everyone being new there would be no PVP. We have been playing for almost 2 years now. Last session one player started accusing another player of hoarding an artifact that they are looking for. The accused player has a cursed bag of gold that they are very covetous of. This caused some awkward silence and it took me a minute to figure out what was going on. The other players thought this was PVP. Which I can see how that could be construed. I explained that this was just role playing and role playing between characters is great. It had never occurred to me where the line between role playing and PVP was. Next session will be going over what is PVP and isn't PVP. What are some things you've never thought to explain because you've been playing for so long?
