Hydration takes more than drinking water
Special Summer Recipe – Ayurvedic Hydration Drink
Summer is giving us long, hot days that dehydrate us faster than other times of year through extra sweating, breathing and activities.
Intuitively you’re probably drinking more water, but are you actually absorbing that water? Hydrating isn’t just drinking water; it’s about replacing your body with lost fluids and electrolytes, such as sodium and potassium.
Hydration helps you regulate body temperature, energize muscles, boost cognitive function, and keeps your organs working efficiently.
This ayurvedic hydration drink recipe helps replace the electrolytes and supports absorption of the water. Enjoy a glass before going out in the heat or recovering from activities.
  • Lime helps draw in water and electrolytes by increasing digestive strength (agni).
  • Cumin helps increase agni and absorption.
  • Soma Salt helps replace electrolytes and draw in water.
  • Mint clears your channels, making space for the water to be absorbed.
  • Sugar helps absorb the electrolytes and provides energy.
  • Nutmeg supports agni and the kidneys.
Enjoy a fresh batch daily!
