@Barbara Neebel Meier Welcome to the group Barbara! Your path to healing and finding your true self is amazing. Did you know that the lineage of Ayurveda that I follow and teach from was with Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra, who made is way to the US via the Raj?
Shaky ?
Hi Carol and Kathleen, The shakes sound delicious. Rounding up my ingredients. Assuming you prefer the Chandi Vegan Protein Powder? Thanks, Kathy Krepps

Hi Kathy! Yes, I do prefer the Chandika Vegan Protein Powder, which is primarily made of from roasted small black chickpeas. Certain protein powders are harder to digest than others, this one is very easy on the digestion and partly because it's roasted first. We'll cover more of that in the class on Sunday. https://www.chandika.com/vegan-protein-powder/?afmc=2p1
Paneer Yay
Hi folks. As a charter member of the better late than never club I have successfully made beautiful paneer! I watched Chef Carol making paneer and realized the major factors that I had been missing in my first attempts. 1. fresh whole milk I think I used possibly old milk on first attempts. The paneer was dry and sour. 2. Patience; oh my just calmly watching the milk as it heated over medium to low heat and stirring it so it did not stick. 3. As soon as the boil came I added the fresh lime juice. I used 2 organic limes. Voilà a beautiful sweet paneer. So delicious and nutritious. Thank you chef Carol.

Are you planning for your Healthspan?
A fellow community member shared a very interesting article about planning for our healthspan as we age. So much focus is on saving for retirement and making sure we have enough money to take care of us in our LIFESPAN, but my question is this..... How many of us are focused on self-care to extend our HEALTHSPAN? What's the difference? -Lifespan is how long you will live -Healthspan is how well you will live out those years I hope this community will help you expand the duration and quality of your years. Please read the article and share the ways you are taking care of your HEALTHSPAN and how this community can support you. https://drdammhealthspan.substack.com/p/your-retirement-savings-cant-buy?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=6532927&post_id=199486937&utm_campaign=email-post-title&isFreemail=true&r=5q30f4&triedRedirect=true&utm_medium=email

Since I started learning and practicing Ayurveda in my mid 30s, I believe the diet has made a significant impact on my healthspan. In my family history, my Mom started having serious heart issues in her 40s, with her first heart attack before she was 50. I'm genetically very similar to her, which gives me motivation to do what I can to reduce my risks. I'll be 56 this year and as each year passes, I'm grateful to have another heart healthy year. When she was my current age, she wasn't able to physically do the things I do now....hike, walks, yoga and travel. It's work and I have to monitor certain biometrics to ensure I'm staying the course. But eating my veggies sure beats the alternative!
