Showing up - Perfectionism Procrastination
Showing up on Social Media and just being me has taught me that i have a perfectionism part that shows up as procrastination, because i lacked self belief and confidence in myself. Perfectionism can look a lot like procrastination. Not because we’re lazy… but because a part of us believes it has to be perfect before we begin. So we read another book. Sign up for another course. Watch another webinar. Gather more information. But often, it’s not knowledge we’re lacking. It’s self-trust. Perfectionism tells us: “You’re not ready yet.” “You need to know more first.” “What if it’s not good enough?” And so we wait. But growth rarely happens in the waiting. It happens in the doing. Showing up. Trying. Experimenting. Learning as we go. You don’t need to consume more information to begin. You just need to believe in yourself enough to take the next step. Be curious. Be imperfect. Be willing to learn in public. Less performing a role you think you should play. More expressing the soul of who you are. Because the real magic happens when we stop trying to be perfect …and start showing up as ourselves. When we live from purpose, self belief and soul, and release old stories, patterns and ego we can show up as authentic us with no attachment to roles or outcomes, and thats when the magic can happen✨

Listening to the wrong people can hurt you more than help ( Lost years of time doing this) Niche down can mean more than its explained! Like when starting Ann Tonie Concepts INC. back in 2007 Every marketing person and adviser kept telling me to focus on one Thing! That is such a general sentence and basic statement when they really don"t know how to advise you! People follow the status quo, say the same thing, follow the same style even when they clearly see that you don't fit in that box. BUT ITS ALL THEY KNOW AND WHAT HAS WORKED FOR THEM. The problem was no one at that time understood anything about how the business made money and how it flowed. Its was a single minded way...so they kept telling us to market as a florist, or a event coordinator, or a clothing designer etc. Not understanding that 1 client we saw as 3 or 4 depending on the situation. They would come for a event then, want napkins & linen's they couldn't find, & could be made cheaper (with better quality) by me, a dress for the event , that i could design and have my people make, if i didnt have time, I could go on. And for years i would loose money listening to advisors who never listened! They just saw a check! So when I tell you I had to Learn to not get Swindled , I HAD TO LEARN!. So I fired everyone and started learning • Understanding systems. • Understanding branding. • Understanding funding. • Understanding nonprofit structure. • Understanding design. • Understanding reinvention. • Understanding grief, growth, power dynamics.
