Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been getting a lot of DMs asking the same question:
“Is Peptide Sciences coming back?”
Since the shutdown announcement, the research peptide community has been trying to figure out if the company is planning to relaunch or if the closure is permanent.
So Far, All Signs Point to No
Based on everything that’s currently known, it doesn’t look like Peptide Sciences is coming back.
The company posted a brief message stating they were voluntarily shutting down operations and discontinuing the sale of all research products, and since then there haven’t been any updates suggesting a return.
While nothing is impossible, right now all signs seem to point toward the closure being permanent.
Why Are Peptide Vendors Shutting Down?
The peptide industry has been facing increasing pressure over the past 12–18 months, and several factors are likely contributing to vendors disappearing:
Regulatory pressure
Authorities have been paying closer attention to research peptide vendors, particularly compounds related to pharmaceutical drugs.
Payment processor issues
Many peptide companies rely on high-risk payment processors, and these accounts are becoming harder to maintain.
Legal risk
Some peptides overlap with compounds that pharmaceutical companies are actively protecting through patents and regulatory enforcement.
Because of this, the industry is going through a bit of a shake-up, and weaker vendors are starting to disappear.
Where Are Researchers Looking Now?
With Peptide Sciences gone, many researchers are exploring new suppliers.
One option people have been asking me about recently is Orion Peptides.
They’re a newer supplier that focuses on research peptides and have been getting attention for their pricing and product availability.
If you decide to check them out, you can also use the code:

Final Thoughts
The peptide industry is definitely going through a transition period right now.
While some long-standing vendors have disappeared, the science and interest in peptides continues to grow, and new suppliers are stepping in to fill the gap.
If anything changes regarding Peptide Sciences or the broader peptide market, I’ll definitely update the community.
