Your Name Is Your Brand (Not a Platform)
Why I use skool.bio… and why you should still own your name
I use skool.bio/jeff and skool.bio/profits as my primary links inside Skool because they're fast, flexible, and built specifically for Skool creators and community owners.
It lets me share my community, affiliate links, resources, and calls-to-action from one clean page — without fighting platform limits.
But here’s the part that matters most 👇
I still believe everyone should own their name as a domain.
Your Skool bio link is a tool.
Your personal domain is an asset.
Here’s why owning your name still matters...
1️⃣ Control beats convenience (long-term)
Social platforms decide what links you can use, where they show up, and who sees them.
A domain you own is permanent. No algorithm. No gatekeeper.
2️⃣ Your name is your brand
Whether you’re building a community, sharing affiliate links, or offering services, people remember your name, not a platform URL.
....yourname.com builds instant trust and authority.
3️⃣ One domain, unlimited flexibility
Your name domain can point to:
  • A Skool bio page today
  • A Link-in-Bio or digital business card
  • A Skool community hub
  • A full website later
You don’t have to decide everything now. You just have to own the door.
4️⃣ skool.bio + yourname.com = best of both worlds
This is the part most people miss.
Think of skool.bio as the engine — fast, optimized, and purpose-built.
Think of yourname.com as the land you own.
You can connect your domain directly to your Skool Bio Builder page, use it in QR codes, email signatures, and profiles — and still keep full control.
5️⃣ You’re future-proofing yourself
Platforms change. Offers change. Communities evolve.
Your name doesn’t.
Owning your domain means you never have to update links everywhere just because a tool or platform changes.
💡 My recommendation:
Use skool.bio for speed and simplicity.
Own yourname.com for control and longevity.
Connect the two — and you’ve got a setup that grows with you.
