👉 Would Your QR Code Work in a Stadium?
📱 Choosing the Right QR Code for the Situation Matters Not all QR codes are created equal. If you're meeting someone one-on-one at a networking event, coffee shop, meetup, or in-person conversation, a branded Logo QR Code is often the perfect choice. Your logo grabs attention, reinforces your brand, and creates a more memorable first impression. But what if you're promoting your community at a larger event? My friend @Nick Nebelsky is headed to a World Cup game, and if you've ever met Nick, you know he's a master promoter. He understands that when you're surrounded by thousands of people, visibility and simplicity matter. That's why a large, traditional black-and-white QR code is often the better choice for crowded environments. Why? Because high-contrast black-and-white QR codes are generally easier to scan from greater distances. The farther away your audience is, the more important scan reliability becomes. A simple rule: ✅ Close-range sharing = Logo QR Code ✅ Large crowds or long-distance scanning = Traditional Black & White QR Code The goal isn't just to look good. The goal is to make it as easy as possible for people to connect with your community, profile, or offer. Every extra bit of friction reduces the chances of someone taking action. 📸 Speaking of large-event QR codes... The image of Nick is AI generated, but it will work if you scan it from your desktop. Take a scan and see where it leads. 👀 Don't spoil it for everyone else—drop a comment with your first impression after you land there.👇

@James PM Gaffney I'm thinking like a poster board size.
I Saw My Community in a Skool Ad... and It Was Terrible 😬
Recently, Skool featured Bio Builders in one of its Boost ads. At first, I was excited. Then I looked at the card. What did people see? 📱 A smartphone 📱 A QR code 🙂 My face What didn't they see? ❌ What the community is about ❌ Who it's for ❌ Why they should join If a complete stranger saw that card for 3 seconds, they would have no idea whether Bio Builders was about QR codes, digital business cards, websites, marketing, or something else entirely. That got me thinking... Many of us treat our community card like branding. But when your community appears in: - Skool Boost ads - Recommendations - Referral links - Shared posts - Search results ...that card becomes part of your conversion process. More than 50% of my traffic comes from referrals. Those visitors need to immediately understand why they're here. So I redesigned my card around two simple questions: Who is this for? 👉 For Skoolers & Affiliates What's the outcome? 👉 More Members & Commissions The lesson? Don't just make your community card look good. Make sure it answers: "Why should I click?" Have you looked at your community card lately through the eyes of a complete stranger? Drop a screenshot below. I'd love to see what you're using. 👇

This is a really nice upgrade. I see my communities posted in your screenshots here. I think the other thing we have to be mindful of, too, when working these designs, is the fact that when they are a tiny thumbnail or in an advertisement, they're squished down so it becomes harder to read the text.

@Jeff Baer I think the card looks amazing very attractive
The Skool Hat + My Skool Bio QR Code Button Strikes Again!
I was at this Trendy new Coffee Shop called La La Land in Scottsdale, AZ. And the place is slamming with young people. When I left, this young man approached me with his Mom and asked me about skool. He said he wants to start a chess community and he asked he how to get in touch with him! I pointed to the button I made with my 40% Commission QR CODE (@Jeff Baer) on my hat. BAM right to my skool link Easy Peasy and all of my info is on this QR Code. My group, videos, other skool links it's perfect and i'm speaking with him today to see if he's a right fit. To be honest, I felt like a rock star because people were watching this young kid take a picture of my hat with the button. The hope is he signs up today and I get to introduce you to him! ⭐️ I noticed that when I wear both the Skool teeshirt/sweatshirt and a hat, I get more attention in public and combine that with a QR code button from it's a match made in Heaven! Why mention Jeff at all. It's not promotion, it's a fact, his QR Codes pop and they draw attention on their own. And with his custom landing page that gives an audio file in combination with the visuals that Skool provides, it's a no-brainer! ⭐️ Wearing Skool Merch works! Period. Especially when worn in tandem. Teeshirt/hat, Sweatshirt hat. Next up? My own branded merch! THEN they will be knocking me over for an autograph. What about you? Have any of you had a similar occurance? Any tips you want to share with us about how to leverage your skool Merch? Please comment below and Let's Rock Skool!

The 72-Hour Skool Email Hack
One of the most underrated Skool growth hacks is choosing VERY carefully what appears in your community email blast. Remember… Skool only lets you send an email to all members once every 72 hours. So whatever image people see first matters. A lot. Most people just upload whatever thumbnail gets generated automatically. That’s a mistake. I’ve used animated GIFs, static images, and video thumbnails… and the truth is: The BEST choice is the one that creates immediate curiosity or communicates value instantly. Sometimes that’s a GIF. But sometimes a single static image showing something IMPORTANT can outperform everything else. Especially if it speaks to your avatar instantly. A strong static image can stop the scroll faster than motion if the message is instantly clear. The key is keeping it simple: ✅ One visual ✅ One message ✅ One CTA Don’t overload the email. Think of the image as the “hook” that earns the click. And if you ALSO have a full video… Try posting the video as the FIRST comment inside the Skool post itself. That keeps the email clean while still giving interested members a deeper walkthrough after they click through. For bonus points… If you use a GIF, make sure it visually ties into the video thumbnail or branding inside the post. That consistency makes the entire experience feel intentional and polished. If you’re only allowed one broadcast every 72 hours, treat it like premium inbox real estate. Curious what everyone here prefers in email blasts… 👇 Which grabs YOUR attention more? 1️⃣ Video thumbnail 2️⃣ Static image 3️⃣ Animated GIF

@Jeff Baer I have also been leaving them open to “sell” as an advertising spot to promote someone’s book! 📖 I have learned that after you post you cannot go back and edit that post to make the email blast

@Jeff Baer yeah that would be nice i'm sure one of the add on tools lets you do it.
