Biblical agriculture is the practice of caring for God’s creation through faithful stewardship of land, animals, plants, and ecosystems. From the beginning, humanity was called to “work and take care of” the earth (Genesis 2:15), shaping agriculture as both responsibility and worship.
Animal science reflects this by promoting humane, responsible care for livestock. Horticulture mirrors God’s design through the cultivation of crops, soil care, and sustainable growing practices that preserve resources for future generations. Stewardship also extends to North American wildlife, requiring conservation of habitats, balanced ecosystems, and respect for biodiversity.
Great stewardship requires education. By learning agricultural science, conservation, and biblical principles, we gain the wisdom to manage resources well. Educating ourselves equips us to care for animals, grow food sustainably, and protect creation.
