I didn't like it at first...but I realized something
Two weeks ago, I started a 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹. And if I’m honest… at first I thought, “Why did I buy this one?” It’s landscape. It’s smaller than I like. I prefer everything on one page... ...and now my reflections have to flow across two. I nearly talked myself out of using it. But here’s what I’m learning: New beginnings always feel awkward 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹. A new journal. A new habit. A new rhythm. A 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗼𝗱. Newness stretches us. It interrupts our comfort. It invites us to loosen control. And if we let it, it also brings something precious: hope. Hope that God is still speaking. Hope that we’re still growing. Hope that this season isn’t finished with us yet. Last week I wasn’t well, so instead of sitting in church, I watched the sermon on YouTube from bed and created my pages there — refusing to miss the moment just because it looked different. And that’s what this journal is becoming for me: A record of showing up. A reminder that God meets us wherever we are. A quiet promise that week by week, page by page, something beautiful is unfolding. Sometimes the very thing we resist at the start becomes the place where God does His deepest work. New beginnings aren’t neat. But they are full of grace. I hope you have a great day. Bev xxx P.S. I have been away from your platform for a little while, but while making supper this evening, I decided to catch up on some of the videos. Just at the end of "3 Ways To Creatively Reconnect With God" I thought about these 2 pieces I have done recently and wanted to share them here with the community.

Psalm 139 creative notes
So this is something I did while sitting in bed, catching up on the sermon I missed on Sunday. I’ll be honest… I didn’t go to church because I went and made a lampshade instead. And yes, I did feel a bit guilty about that. But it was also an opportunity to do something just for me — something creative, something restful. And the beautiful thing is, I still showed up.I still watched the sermon.I still opened my Bible.I still spent time with God. I’ve got this new journal that I want to take to church and collect all my sermon notes in. It feels really special already. Who knows — maybe one day it might even become a book. What struck me as I was journaling was how gentle God is with us. He doesn’t sit there with a clipboard. He doesn’t keep score. He doesn’t shame us when we’re tired. He meets us in bed with our pens and paints. He meets us in messy seasons. He meets us exactly where we are. And that’s really what this page is about — returning to God gently, not perfectly. If you’re longing for that same kind of quiet, creative, pressure-free space with Him, I’ve left the Heal & Reset with God link in the comments. It’s a beautiful little January reset if you’d like one. Sometimes healing doesn’t look like “trying harder”.Sometimes it looks like picking up a pen, opening your Bible, and letting God meet you there. Big hugs,Bev 🤍 P.S.
