You can post: • practice clips • riffs & compositions • pedal setups • recordings & mixes • works in progress • songwriting ideas • ambient/shoegaze textures • questions, discoveries, experiments, frustrations, breakthroughs… all of it. You absolutely do NOT need to sound “perfect” to post here. Interacting with each other is a huge part of the experience, so feel free to comment, support others and start conversations. 2️⃣ COURSES & CREATIVE LEARNING The Classroom section is where the more structured creative learning happens. 👋 Hi everyone, and welcome. I created Beyond The Fretboard as a space for curious guitarists and committed musicians who want to go further than simply memorising exercises and scales. This community is about learning how to create real music with the guitar. We’ll absolutely study the essentials: technique, scales, fretboard knowledge, harmony, rhythm, improvisation, ear training, production, and musical theory — but always through creative application and musical context. Instead of learning concepts in isolation for months before making music, we’ll often jump straight into creating with them. Maybe we learn a new mode… and immediately use it in a shoegaze jam. Maybe we study chord families… and instantly apply them to songwriting, atmosphere, or improvisation. The goal is not simply to collect information, but to turn knowledge into expression.
