Hi Everyone. I'm Anthony, a 4 time brain cancer survivor, I've what's called a reoccurring brain tumour, which means eventually it will get the better of me. I've had 4 brain surgeries, and each one left a severe mark on me. Epilepsy, falls and breathing difficulties. I lost my speech for 6 months. Last year, I had my 4th brain surgery and I was half paralysed because of it, my left side was completey dead (weight). I couldn't move. 8 straight months of rehabs facilities. In that time I had 3 doctors and my physio tell me, you need a ceiling, and you're never getting back to normal. Today, I'm back running 5Ks. I don't swim lengths of a pool, I swim kilometres, I cycle, and I'm back in the gym. I want to become a public speaker to help people in their darkest moments, to let them know that it doesn't stay dark forever. I'd like to motivate them to push for more and do better in life. That there is no ceiling for any of us. You must be all in, do, or die. Love life, zoom out, don't let the small things bother you, keep them small, and stay focused on your goal.
If I can help one person to take anything away from my difficult experiences, then it was worth it.
