Troublesome
I’ve started getting a little troubled by posts I’ve seen on FB. Asking for help from the abyss of strangers on the World Wide Web for help. While I stand by my credentials as a Recovery Coach, RSS and Counselor (intern), I certainly am not a doctor. I never want to misrepresent myself. If you are having a medical crisis of any kind, please seek professional help immediately. It’s awful to watch people suffer, it’s incumbent on us to want to help. I try to always stay in my lane of helping others seek and find sobriety. That’s where I shine. We are all here with different gifts. It takes a team of people often to treat one individual. I know my abilities; but I recognize my limits as well. I am not a doctor, and neither are these pseudo “experts” giving advice to some very fragile people. We have to keep our egos in check, stay in our professional lanes and work together to find real help for folks 🙏

Teaching people sobriety.
I would love to do this; but often times, it becomes a teaching moment for me. We are all so different; a one size fits all approach just isn’t reasonable. Emulation, is one way to teach. Anything I can say or do to help a fellow addict/alcoholic; let’s go!!!!

You can always replace “alcohol”. Anything that takes you further from where you want to be in life. A lot of normal drinkers out there. I was not one of them. 👍
