Offensive Rebounding From the Corner
Weaponizing the corner as an offensive rebounding opportunity was the best return on investment we made this season. Some key data points and why we emphasized it so much. 1. It sets up your transition defense A guaranteed way to start behind in transition is having corner players who do nothing after the shot. We teach our players to sprint through the lane to rebound, which actually helps us match up faster when the other team pushes. 1. Low defender typically has the worst vision Boxing out the deep corner is one of the hardest assignments on the floor. The defender usually has to completely turn their head to find the offensive player. 1. It uses our guards’ quickness to steal possessions Our bigs are typically engaged inside, which often gives guards a clean path to the rim from the corner. Check out the clips and let me know your philosophy!

Offensive Rebounding From the Corner
Welcome to the Basketball Coaches Film Room
Welcome to the Basketball Coaches Film Room. This community is built for coaches who want help breaking down their game film and solving real problems on the court. If you're struggling with something — offense, defense, scouting, spacing, rotations, etc. — post your film here and ask for feedback. I’ll personally jump in to help break things down and give coaching insight. Coaches at all levels are welcome: • Youth • AAU • Middle School • High School You can share clips or games from Hudl, YouTube, or Google Drive, or a simple phone video. When posting film, include a quick question like: • What are we doing wrong defensively? • How would you guard this action? • Why is our spacing breaking down? • What offense is this team running? I’ll help analyze the film and other coaches can jump in with their thoughts as well. Post your first clip and lets get to work! For longer film breakdowns like full games, shoot me a private message to discuss it.
