Laissez-faire Leadership Style
You may be asking, what exactly is the Laissez-faire Leadership Style. The Laissez-Faire Leadership Style is basically described as the hands-off approach to Leadership. This leadership style can be very effective only to the point of how much experience the leader has within the organization. I want to point out the fact that although the laissez-faire leadership style may be enticing it certainly is not the notion that the leader does not play a role as it relates to the solidarity of the organization. Let’s not forget that in every organization there still must be an element of cohesion. People must still follow established rules and not set out to embark upon 50 different set of rules and standards as it relates to their personal like and dislikes. You must still pay attention to the fact that you can’t have some people doing all of the work and some people doing none of the work. I certainly hope that's not the case. You also can’t have people responding to upper-level leadership/management question or concerns with entirely different answers to one specific question. Always keep in mind that when engaging the laissez-faire leadership style, although it can definitely be very beneficial within certain organizations but understand that the appointed leader will more than likely still be responsible for the actions whether good of bad within the organization.
