Hi all! I was thinking it might be fun to book open studio time somewhere as a group some day! Not sure if it’d need to be separate for throwing vs hand building, but thought I’d see if there was a) interest and b)if interest, north vs south Austin, then c) calling some studios to see what’s possible. Hi everybody! I’m Mary Helen, the founder of ATX Kiln Club, a tiny community studio in Austin, Texas. Kiln Club exists to help the home based artists in our community thrive. We offer firing services, studio space, workshops, and events to folks in our own neighborhood, and I’m excited to expand our amazing community of creative and curious artists to the rest of the world here on Skool. I am a part time ceramics artist and instructor, mom of two, and freelance food stylist (basically a chef for the camera). I’ve been working with clay for almost a decade now, and I really love sharing what I’ve learned with others. I can’t wait to get to know you all here in our Skool community. This was my first mushroom person! They live in the garden.

I can’t decide on the design I want to put on this mug! I’m making it as one of a “pair” for a friend and her fiance! Any ideas?
