Assignment 2 Project Title: Counted Me Out Format: Single Counted Me Out is one of my most personal records to date. It's more than a song—it's the soundtrack to years of disappointment, perseverance, and ultimately, self-belief. For more than 30 years, I've poured into others—family, friends, and musical partners—offering support, encouragement, and genuine love without expecting anything in return. But when I needed that same support, I was often met with silence. It felt like my efforts went unnoticed, replaced by quiet competition, distance, and the painful feeling of being counted out by the very people closest to me. Watching family members and peers achieve success, I celebrated every milestone with sincere happiness. Unfortunately, that same energy was rarely returned. I spent years searching for validation from those I loved, only to realize that my worth could never be defined by someone else's recognition. That realization has become an important part of my healing journey.
