It was quite a whirlwind this weekend - one baby was tragically captured by a coyote on his first night, and the remaining two disappeared yesterday from a hole in their catch pen. But we found the two babes and the family is safer now near the house, and adjusting well. And apparently making friends with our elderly alpaca! A neighbor was moving out and dropped off 9 goats. One happened to be pregnant (apparently) as we woke up yesterday to 3 babes! Now just trying to manage the heat for them

All my supers are uncapped honey so nothing to extract so far, but very healthy hives and calm bees! Suit just barely fit but my double layering helmet method is still going strong 💖

All the alpacas react to shearing differently 💖 Luna here screams at the top of her lungs and Chewpaca has these little whinnies. The rest are fairly quiet, though we did have some spirited kickers!

Did 8 little sets of hooves this weekend and gearing up for a fun summer! Alpaca shearing in 2 weeks, and planning for some winter goat babies this year. Now to make some bee boxes for more hives! Do you have any maintenance coming up for your animals?
