POSTING CONTENT FOR DUMMIES!
Goal
• Get new clients
• Build trust
• Stay top of mind
• Without overthinking or posting every day
Posting Frequency
3–4 posts per week
That’s it. Consistency beats volume.
Best days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Optional: Saturday
Time: 7–9 AM or 6–9 PM (pick one and stick to it)
The 4 Content Types (Rotate These Only)
1. Proof (30%)
Show that people already trust you.
Post:
• Fresh cut photos/videos
• Before & afters
• Client reactions
• Fully booked schedule screenshots (blur names)
Caption formula:
“Another day, another clean cut.
Appointments in bio.”
2. Education (30%)
Teach small, useful things.
Post:
• Hair tips
• Beard care
• Why a cut grows out bad
• What NOT to ask your barber for
Talking head or voiceover
Keep it under 30 seconds.
Hook examples:
• “Stop asking for this haircut.”
• “This is why your fade looks bad after 3 days.”
• “Barbers won’t tell you this, but…”
3. Personality (20%)
Let people feel you.
Post:
• Barber shop conversations
• POV jokes
• Client moments
• Your routine, grind, or lifestyle
This is what turns viewers into loyal clients.
Example:
POV: You say “just a trim” but mean a whole new life.
4. Offer / CTA (20%)
Tell people how to book.
Post:
• “I have 3 spots left this week”
• “New clients welcome”
• “Booking link in bio”
Be direct. Don’t be shy.
Weekly Plug-and-Play Schedule
Monday – Education
Short tip or opinion
Wednesday – Proof
Before & after / client cut
Friday – Personality
Funny, relatable, or behind the scenes
Saturday (optional) – Offer
Open spots / reminder to book
What to Film in One Session (30 Minutes)
Film once, post all week.
• 2 haircuts (different angles)
• 1 talking head tip
• 1 shop moment or joke
That’s a full week of content.
Rules That Matter
• Don’t delete posts too fast (give it 24–48 hrs)
• Don’t chase trends if they don’t fit your brand
• Clear lighting > fancy camera
• Clean cuts > perfect editing
• Talk like you talk in the shop
The Mindset
You’re not trying to go viral.
You’re trying to be the barber people recognize and trust.
