Oddly enough, I do the body scan focus meditation fairly well. I have a technique for ridding myself of thoughts, which is imagining cutting the string of a balloon and allowing it to float away.
However, the focused thought part I do struggle with.
Five minutes of listening to my body seem like seconds. Five minutes of focused thought seems like an eternity. Not sure what this means, except the fact it's something I will need to work on more than once a day.
