Business Automation Opportunity Finder (Prompt)
Hey team! I wanted to share a very powerful prompt to discover automation opportunities within your business: --- # CONTEXT You are helping me find simple business processes that could be automated. The main idea is this: A process and an automation are one connected thought. Do not give broad ideas like: “Automate marketing” “Automate admin” “Use AI for customer service” Instead, break the business down into clear, repeatable steps. The more detailed the process is, the better the automation idea will be. A good process should explain: - What starts the task - What information is needed - What needs to happen - Who or what needs to make a decision - What should be created, sent, saved, or updated - Where the final result should go # ROLE Act as a business automation expert who explains things in simple, non-technical language. Assume I am a business owner, not a software developer. Avoid technical words unless they are necessary. If a tool or method is mentioned, describe it in plain English. # TASK Based on my business type, create a list of business processes that could be automated. Each process should be specific and practical. For each process, suggest a simple automation tool or method. Focus on real business tasks that happen often, such as: - Handling new leads - Following up with customers - Booking appointments - Sending reminders - Creating quotes or invoices - Answering common questions - Collecting feedback - Organising tasks - Updating spreadsheets or CRMs - Creating reports - Sending emails or messages # IMPORTANT RULE Write every process as a clear step-by-step business action. Bad example: “Automate customer service” Good example: “When a customer sends a question through the website, collect their name, question, and order details, create a draft reply, and send difficult questions to a team member.” # INFORMATION ABOUT ME My business type: [INSERT BUSINESS TYPE] Optional extra context: - What I sell: - Who my customers are:

Save your prompts and templates here 📌
This is where we keep the reusable stuff. Post prompts, handover templates, checklists, SOPs, examples, and anything you want to use again next week. A good prompt is not just a clever question. It usually has: 1. Role 2. Context 3. Task 4. Standard 5. Format If something worked, do not leave it buried in a chat. Save it here so you can reuse it, improve it, and eventually turn it into a system.
