AI Standards for Ethical and Responsible Use of AI - COA Accreditation
I stumbled on a document that may be of interest for folks interested in AI policy and governance at nonprofits in the nten forums and figured I would share with everyone in case someone was interested. It's not a thrilling read but there might be some good stuff in there to build off of. Here's a few interesting tidbits. 1. โAI may supplement human judgement and critical thinking but should never replace it.โ 2. โThe organizationโs use of AI is aligned with its mission and values, minimizes risk, and prioritizes the well-being of people and communities.โ 3. โBefore implementing an AI strategy, the organization conducts a risk-benefit analysis that evaluates the potential impacts of AI on the organization and its stakeholders.โ 4. โStakeholders are helped to understand why, when, and how AI is being used, including what data is being collected, stored, and or shared.โ 5. โWhen selecting commercially available AI tools, preference should be given to vendors that allow the organization to opt out of its data being used to train the model.โ
