Google is making SERP scraping hard
As off a couple of days ago, Google has put a "block" to scraping their SERP. It is now become increasingly more difficult to scrape the first page without incurring in some extra costs.
This will drastically impact the ability for SEO tools to continue offering features like keyword position tracking and I expect an increase on their monthly subscriptions or just offering position tracking as a seperate addon or something like that.
Personally I think Google should have done this last year as many LLMs have been feeding of Google´s SERP to train their RAGs/AI models/Agents virtually for pennies. Now, Google has to battle against them.
