'I've been in education for 20 years. Taught 100,000+ students. Overseen 40,000+ online course enrolments. And the single biggest shift I've seen in the last 2 years? The creators who are growing fastest aren't working harder — they're using AI to move faster without sacrificing quality. That's what this community is for. I built AI-Powered Course Creators for two types of people: ✦ You have expertise but can't seem to get your course out of your head and into the world ✦ You already have a course, but you're spending 10 hours on content that AI could help you create in 2. Either way — you're in the right place. I'll be posting 3 times a week: practical tutorials, tool recommendations, and questions to make you think. To kick things off — drop a reply below: 👋 Your name 📚 What your course is about (or what you want to create) 🚧 The #1 thing stopping you right now. I read every single reply. Let's go.

The AI tool that turns a pile of notes into an actual lesson (in minutes)
If you've got a folder of half-organised notes, old slide decks, or a transcript sitting around and you know there's a course in there somewhere — this one's for you. Tool: NotebookLM (free from Google) What it does: you drop in your source material — PDFs, docs, transcripts, even a messy Google Doc of bullet points — and it builds a structured summary, a study guide, FAQ, and timeline from it. It also generates an "audio overview" (a podcast-style conversation about your content) which is a genuinely fast way to hear whether your material actually flows in a logical order before you script a single lesson. I actually created a course on this; check it out here:https://www.udemy.com/course/google-notebook-llm-your-ai-powered-writing-companion/?couponCode=642BF2381235E51CF135 How I'd use it for course creation specifically: 1. Dump your raw research/notes for one module in as sources. 2. Ask it to generate a study guide — that becomes your rough lesson outline. 3. Use the FAQ generation to surface the questions students will actually ask, which is great fodder for a Q&A lesson or a resource doc. 4. Listen to the audio overview as a sense-check — if it sounds disjointed, your module probably is too. It won't write your final script for you (and you shouldn't want it to — your voice is the value), but as a "raw material → structure" step it saves a genuinely painful hour of manual outlining. After 20+ years of building curriculum and pushing 100,000+ students through courses, the bottleneck was never ideas — it was turning scattered material into a clean structure fast. This is one of the better free tools for that specific step right now. Anyone already using NotebookLM (or something similar) for this? Drop what's working for you below. 👇

Stop Competing. Find the Gap.
Most course creators ask: “What topic should I teach?” A better question is: “What are people already trying to learn—but struggling to find a good course about?” That shift helped me find a course opportunity that eventually attracted 40,000 students. The strategy is simple: 1. Look for evidence of demand. 2. Study the courses already serving that demand. 3. Identify the questions, audiences or outcomes they’ve overlooked. 4. Build for that gap. You don’t need to create another broad “AI for beginners” course. You might create: “AI for estate agents who need weekly property content. Specific markets often have less competition and a clearer reason to buy. Watch the full breakdown: https://youtu.be/L9mYxCzemdw
