Adriane Mayes and Enyka Gaines will introduce their financial education movement as the 30-Day Legacy Lane Challenge launches August 1. DETROIT, Michigan, July 31, 2026 — Detroit entrepreneurs and authors Adriane Evette Mayes and Enyka Maria Gaines are preparing to share the story behind the Building Wealth and Legacy With AI Movement during Media Access Day, hosted by the Detroit Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists in partnership with ARISE! Detroit. Media Access Day will take place: Saturday, August 1, 2026 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. WDIV-TV Local 4 550 West Lafayette Boulevard Detroit, Michigan 48226 The community-focused event is designed to help businesses, nonprofit organizations, and content creators connect with local journalists, learn how to pitch their stories, and increase their potential for media coverage. For Mayes and Gaines, the timing is significant. August 1 also marks the official beginning of their 30-Day Legacy Lane Challenge, a guided experience that helps participants select one important area of their lives and complete one practical action each day for 30 days. One lane. One action. One day at a time. “This is the right moment to take our story beyond the book launch,” said Mayes. “We are going to Media Access Day ready to explain why this movement matters, who it serves, and how one book is becoming a practical platform for financial education, action, community, and generational legacy.” More Than a Book Launch Mayes and Gaines recently released Building Wealth and Legacy With AI, a financial memoir and practical guide for entrepreneurs, families, first-generation wealth builders, and people who are ready to stop guessing about money and begin taking informed action. The movement addresses a common problem: people are often encouraged to make more money without being taught how to manage it, protect it, organize it, or transfer it to the next generation. The authors use personal stories involving entrepreneurship, taxes, credit, foreclosure, business ownership, documentation, caregiving, faith, recovery, technology, and starting again to make financial lessons understandable and relatable.
