The Claude Skill That Taught Me Stronger Sales Follow Ups
With all this AI writing in the world now, I started to really feel the emptiness when you just know a message was written by AI.
And I don't mean assessed and augmented by AI. I mean totally written from scratch.
I think there's great value in having AI assess what you write, but what do you vet your writing against to actually make it stronger?
I read a book sometime ago called "How to Win Friends and Influence People," which is the best communication book I've ever read, and so I thought that might be a good source to create a Claude Skill from.
It was super easy to set up. I just asked Claude to research the book online and build its principles into a skill that vets my writing. Then something unexpected happened after a bit. I started to use it less and less because every time I had Claude vet my writing against it, I started to learn where I was making mistakes, where I was putting myself first, where I was missing touching upon the other person's eager want.
After enough reps, the principles started to show up themselves in my follow-ups, and I could feel the warmth from people in their responses.
If you want to try it: open a new chat with Claude, ask it to research How to Win Friends and Influence People and build a skill that vets your writing before you send it out.
Bonus - There's an updated version called "How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Digital Age" you should definitely check out too!
