Kidnapped | Robert Louis Stevenson | Adaptation
Afte working on my Owain Owens story for awhile I had a sudden flash of all the classic stories I grew up on and decided to make a series of shorts on them all. Crazy idea, crazy busy today. There will be twelve in all to start. It is fascinating to adapt a scene from a book into a short film. I chose this: "I had scarce got under the roof of that house of Shaws when I began to be aware that my uncle was no friend to me. His eyes never met mine; they moved about, watching, always watching, with a sly and secret purpose I could not read." – David Balfour You can learn a lot. If you try it, make sure it is in the public domain. Robert Louis Stevenson is one of my all time favorites and Kidnapped... one of my favorite books ever.
