Cape Town AI Mastermind: Behind the Scenes
In February, I spent a week in Cape Town, SA with some of the top AI entrepreneurs in the space for a mastermind. We had hundreds of community members join us. I met some amazing people and left feeling so energized and inspired. Which is why I've been uploading almost daily lately, haha! Anyways, just dropped a behind the scenes vlog if you're interested in checking it out. AIS is planning on doing big events and meetups regularly, so if this trip looked like fun, stay tuned for events in the future!

Since joining, he and his team have: • Built their own property-management SaaS using Claude Code + Lovable • Expanded the software for additional residential complexes in Cyprus • Signed a long-term AI documentation project with a new client • Turned that client relationship into both a monthly retainer AND equity in the company One of the biggest lessons Jan shared: You can learn tools from YouTube…But you can’t replace having helpful people around you when things get difficult.

Built a tool that finds web development clients in my city
This idea was suggested to me by fellow community member @Motion J :) I used to be a web developer in college and I'm getting back into it, so I'm using AI to give me an advantage. I built myself a tool that finds business with no websites in my area and grabs their info too using the Foursquare API! The whole thing took less than 15 mins! I used this tool named nebula.gg because it creates and auto-deploys websites immediately and then I had Claude Design style it and make it look pretty. When I used to code before AI that would've taken me ages! Now that it works I will swap the Foursquare API with the paid Google Places API to get more results and start landing clients. I'm also new to AI voice agents so I will definitely explore how useful they could be in contacting those business via automated outbound calls

Hot take: The Claude hype is real, but there’s a better (and cheaper) stack right now.
Don’t get me wrong, Claude is amazing. But right now, it feels like everyone is paying a premium just for the hype and the brand name. I’ve been analyzing the landscape and honestly, the AntiGravity + OpenClaw combo is completely outperforming it for a fraction of the cost. AntiGravity gives you that true autonomous agent environment without the crazy subscription fees. And when you plug OpenClaw into the mix, you get a 24/7 open-source framework that actually executes workflows instead of just suggesting them. You get the same (or better) deliverables, way more autonomy, and it keeps your overhead low. Is anyone else running this stack, or are you guys still fully aboard the Claude train? Curious to hear your thoughts! 👇
