Need advice please
I'm new to AI and before i joined community i wanted to start a AI business but didn't know how so i tried to hire someone on Upwork to get the below built (currently in process of being built) I’m building a done-for-you automation for dentists(other if possible) focused on: Core use case - Google review requests (no gating, policy-compliant) - Patient reactivation (30/60/180 days) - Referral nudges - New review alerts + response templates - Simple reporting dashboard - GDPR compliant (data owned by clinic, consent required, auto-deletion for review data) - SMS/email law compliant - Google review policy compliant - Low monthly cost - Cloneable system per client - Built with n8n/Zapier (no expensive SaaS) Business model: monthly retainer. I'm spending 100 on this. After joining this community I've started to question if this is the correct choice or if i should have learnt and built this or something better myself, would this system be enough to start making some money if not should i just scrap this as its not getting built by me and its too simple? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
Core skills before tools
Core Skills You Need (Tools Are Secondary) Forget ā€œlearning 10 toolsā€. Master these instead: 1.Process thinking Breaking work into steps: Input → Decision → Action → Output 2.Logic If this happens → do this Else → do that Automation is mostly logic, not AI. 3.Basic sales understanding What is a lead? What is follow-up? What converts and why? 4.Debug mindset Things will break. Good automation don’t panic — they trace. Tools are just interfaces for these skills. 🧐Curious about:-> 1.Which point is more helpful? 2.More point's? 3.any questions?
