Why Most Automations Fail Before They Even Start
One thing I keep noticing when looking at automation projects is that many businesses jump straight into tools before thinking about the workflow.
They install tools like n8n Make or Zapier and start connecting apps immediately.
But automation is not about the tool. It is about the process.
If the underlying workflow is messy the automation will also be messy. The result is a system that breaks often and needs constant fixing.
The best automations usually start with a simple question.
What is the exact process happening today
Once that is clear it becomes much easier to design a clean workflow. Triggers are defined data flows correctly and each step has a clear purpose.
Only after that should the automation tool come in.
When the process is clear tools like n8n become extremely powerful because they simply execute a well designed system.
Good automation is not about adding more technology.
It is about removing unnecessary work and making processes run smoothly in the background.
