Why AI Fatigue Is Normal (And What Comes Next)
Someone posted about having "AI fatigue" - tired of it being the main topic in business conversations, scrolling social media not knowing if content is AI-generated, seeing AI models in advertising, and rarely hearing real voiceovers anymore. "I want AI to be PART of the future. Not our whole future."
This sparked an important reassurance.
My response: Not to worry - social platforms will be segmenting AI Content from Human Content. They've already taken a big step in demonitizing publishers that haven't been labeled as AI-Generated content. What's next? The algorithms will optimize for identifying AI Avatars and AI Voices.
The enforcement reality: Unethical users are getting away with leveraging AI (for now) - once these platforms solve for this new version of spam, they'll be put out of business. Unless your business is AI-Centric - which means your business is setting the clear expectation that it's AI Powered to the bone - then your top-of-funnel shouldn't use AI Avatars + AI Voices.
The strategic distinction: On the inverse, if you're AI-Centric, then this doesn't apply. What about the topic of AI? That's inescapable. But what is escapable, is fragmenting who you see - whether it's robots or humans. The internet is a mess right now - let's not get that twisted.
The long-term perspective: But overall, the long-term benefit of AI is much greater than the harm it's caused so far. Regulated systems put unregulated systems back in place. Take a look at the drug lords in society - society makes it harder for them with more restrictions every year.
The conclusion: That's how we've designed our ecosystem - win-win systems put win-lose systems back into harmony. The current chaos is temporary growing pains. AI will find its proper place as a tool that enhances human capability rather than replacing human authenticity in customer-facing interactions.
Hope you found this valuable! :)
