VAPI vs Retell AI

As a beginner trying to learn voice agent building I started with VAPI but within two days i got so frustrated that i made the switch to Retell AI.

Firstly the VAPI website is very unreliable. On my first day of learning, VAPI’s sign in with google option all of a sudden crashed and i couldn’t do anything that day.

Next day when i logged back in and started building the agent and executed the workflow on n8n, the webhook was not responding. I realised VAPI was only calling it once every 3-4 tries. That was it. I deleted my VAPI account and switched to RETELL AI.

And within 6 hours of starting to use RETELL AI, I already made a basic AI receptionist thats works perfectly.

So i would like to suggest all the beginners looking to learn building voice agents to avoid VAPI and go for RETELL AI.
