Unpopular opinion:
Most companies aren’t ready for AI.
Not because AI is too advanced.
But because their processes are already broken.
If your systems are slow, messy, or buried in spreadsheets no one understands…
Adding AI won’t fix that.
It will just automate the chaos.
Before you build your first AI agent, ask yourself:
- Is the workflow clear?
- Is the data clean?
- Do you actually know what “done” looks like?
If the answer is no, AI won’t help.
It will just create more work, faster.
AI is not a shortcut.
It’s a multiplier.
And if you’re multiplying dysfunction, don’t be surprised when nothing works.
Clean up your ops first.
Then build your agents.
