Hey folks,
I’m relatively new to building workflows for clients and I’ve hit a bit of a roadblock I’m hoping to get your input on.
Whenever I create a workflow that requires access to a client’s account—like automating responses to Google Business Profile reviews, or handling emails—it feels unprofessional to ask for their login credentials or to request that they enter them into my n8n instance.
Now, I do understand that in the case of Google Business Profiles, agency access is possible using a manager account. But what about other services like email automation, where such delegation isn’t straightforward?
Is there a standard or more secure way to structure this? Maybe OAuth, delegated access, or credential vaulting I should know about? I’m sure this is basic stuff for many of you, but as someone just getting started with client-facing automations, I’d really appreciate any quick pointers or best practices you follow.
Thanks in advance! And excuse the noob question.
