I fixed my Discovery Call fault
You probably suck at discovery calls.

Add a pre-discovery step.
I used to show up blind, ask broad questions,
and get safe answers.
That’s not discovery.
That’s a meeting.
A short pre-discovery questionnaire changes the whole call.
Before you even speak, you should already know:
How X actually happens
Where time is wasted
What breaks again and again
One rule.
Never ask pretty, high-level questions like:
“Tell me about your business.”
Ask this instead:
“Why does X take 2 hours when it should take 15 minutes?”
Discovery is about better questions.
Not more talking.
