(take this outreach strat for free)
Today, I want to share with you an outreach strategy to get more clients on LinkedIn.
(without asking you to like the post, connect with me, and comment ‘outreach’ to get access) - sound good?
I shared this with an AI Founder earlier this month on a free consulting call, who just signed his second client last Thursday.
So if you take what I’m sharing with you, you’ll get clients from it too.
Basically, you don’t want to pitch on the first DM.
You want to get one tiny yes.
Not a “yes I'm interested” but a “yes I agree” or “yes that’s me”.
Because that tiny agreement does ALL the heavy lifting to break the ice.
AI Founders often come in too hot with benefits, features, results, etc.
But offering AI services is especially tricky because it’s still a new market.
So if you lead with “here’s what we do” it becomes too easy for prospects to say no.
But if you lead with a tiny agreement, like a question about themselves, you become difficult to ignore.
Here’s what this looks like on LinkedIn:
• Cold DM Template
“Hey [NAME], it’s great to connect!
Quick question - are you an [ICP] in [COUNTRY]?
If so, respond with a thumbs up, and I may have something for you 👍”
• Cold DM Example
“Hey Dan, it’s great to connect!
Quick question, are you a real estate agent in New Zealand?
If so, respond with a thumbs up, and I may have something for you 👍”
• Once they send a thumbs up, THEN you make your offer in your second message and end the CTA with:
“If you’re curious to learn more, send me another thumbs up” or
“If you’re curious to see a demo, send me another thumbs up”
• Once they send the second thumbs up, then you send your Calendly link for them to book.
• Don’t forget to send 2-3 follow-ups if they don’t book after 24-48 hours each.
(the reason you ask your prospect to “send a thumbs up if they’re interested”, not “let me know if you’re interested” is because you want them to act right there and then - not think about what to respond with)
So instead of:
Message 1: Offer
Message 2: Send Calendly Link
You’re going:
Message 1: Tiny Agreement
Message 2: Offer
Message 3: Send Calendly Link
Is your prospect more likely to ignore your offer or a question about themselves?
Your offer…
So don’t start with your offer. Start with the prospect.
That’s the switch that lights up the whole room.
Do this in your LinkedIn outreach and watch your response rates triple - no BS.
You’re going to crush it using this.
Let me know how soon you get a new client from it 💪
(P.S. sending a voice message in DM 1 performs better)
