How-To-Build A custom UBUNTO iso for AI 🚀
A custom Ubuntu Server AI ISO that could automate a full self-hosted AI infrastructure would be awesome. So I created shell scripts to create a Bootable ISO so Ubuntu Server installs with Docker, LLM hosting, vector DB, private chat UI, document ingestion/RAG, workflow hooks, and security defaults. GPU detection enables acceleration.🤔
💥Use cases: 🚀 local model hosting, private AI assistants, document Q&A, development and automation without cloud costs or data leakage. Requirements: x86_64, 16GB+ RAM, 50GB+ storage (SSD recommended), optional NVIDIA GPU. Deployment is one shot: flash USB, boot, and the stack is live with a web UI to add models and data. Benefits: speed, repeatability, data sovereignty, no subscription fees. Grab the ZIP and run your own AI server on-premises. You will have to download the 24.04.2 version of the ubuntu server iso, and place it in the same folder as the sh scripts.
run manual-build.sh. after it creates your iso file run check-build-status.sh to validate the iso file.
Read the readme and the how to use md files. you now have a one stop AI local server.
GIVE IT A LOOK!
