How I Got Into the AI World (My Struggle From Dusk Till Dawn)
Life didn’t give me the smooth road. It gave me bumps, dead ends, and sometimes no road at all.
I started freelancing back in 2014—a time when almost no one around me even knew what freelancing was. The competition was low, the opportunities were rare, but so was my knowledge.
After finishing my 12th grade, my family stopped supporting my studies and living costs. I felt stuck, lost, and honestly, scared. Then I heard a rumor: someone in my area was making real money online by providing simple services to clients in the USA.
The word freelancing was brand new to me. My skills? Literally zero.
Still, I went to that person and begged for an opportunity. We made a deal: I would work for him, and in return, he would pay me around $100 per month.
So, I moved into the place where he and his small team worked. It felt like living inside an office—no privacy, no personal life. I secretly spied on how he worked, and within 3 days, I created my own Upwork profile. I even landed a project—but couldn’t take it because I was tied to him full-time.
A few days later, I saw him struggling with a project about scraping Twitter data. He had never even heard of Twitter. I had been using it for years, so I jumped in to help.
Guess what? Within 2 months, he fired me.
He probably thought if I stayed longer, I could outgrow him.
I was left with nothing—no savings, no job, and a broken spirit.
But I wasn’t ready to give up. I borrowed some money, rented a seat in a mess, bought a second-hand laptop, and started applying on Upwork again.
For 3 months, I tried. Nothing.
Then suddenly, everything changed. I landed one job. The next day, I landed two more. That month, I made $3,000. In Bangladesh, at that age, that amount was life-changing.
For the next 5 years, I never spent a single month without work. I funded my own education, completed my undergraduate degree, built a house for my parents, and carried the full financial responsibility of my family.
But young age and sudden money don’t always mix well. I wasted a lot, lost focus, and eventually, the jobs stopped coming. For 2 long years, I struggled—barely managing to survive.
I tried experimenting with new skills. Wasted another year. Nothing worked.
Until one day, I stumbled across a YouTube video about GoHighLevel (GHL). I got hooked. I spent 5 hours straight watching every single video on that channel. By the end of the day, I had a complete understanding of GHL.
I updated my Upwork profile with a new title: “GHL Automation Expert.”
That was the true beginning of my automation journey.
From there, I found creators like Nate Herk, Liam Ottley and many more on YouTube and started exploring n8n, AI agents, and advanced automation.
And now? I may not be at the top yet, but I’ve built something real: my own AI agency.
Today, I help businesses all over the world build AI agents, automate processes, and save both time and money.
Looking back, I see the pain, the failures, the wasted years… but also the resilience, the risk-taking, and the hunger that never left me.
And maybe that’s what the AI journey is about too—failing, learning, adapting, and finally… creating.
