Claude is getting a Whiteboard (and it’s a game changer)
Ever tried explaining a specific UI layout to Claude?
"No, move that button to the left... the other left."
It’s painful. Text is often a terrible medium for visual ideas.
But according to a new report from TestingCatalog, Anthropic is solving this. They are quietly testing a "Sketch" tool—a built-in whiteboard right inside the chat.
You won't just be uploading images anymore; you'll be drawing mockups, adding stickers, and mapping workflows directly in the interface.
Why this matters:
This shifts us from "Prompt Engineering" to "Visual Collaboration." You sketch the wireframe, and Claude codes it. No more 1,000-word descriptions for a simple dashboard.
They are also testing:
  • Cowork: Autonomous tasks inside Projects that can access your files.
  • Plugins: A new hub for managing skills and connectors.
  • Local Server: A toggle to let Claude run local code and "see" the result.
Anthropic isn't just building a chatbot; they are building a complete operating system for work.
Are you a visual thinker who needs this whiteboard, or do you prefer sticking to text prompts?
(I’ve posted a breakdown of this on LinkedIn as well. If you want to support, check the link in the comments! 👇)
