AI Founders: do this to land deals

Over the past 2+ years, I’ve been focused on marketing AI services to help different founders scale.
And if you’ve read my posts…
You're already aware of my thoughts and experience when it comes to marketing big claims.

But today, I want to share an unlock I’ve used to generate leads.
It involves zero claims, and it works like magic…
I drop a single, believable claim… and leave space for the prospect to imagine their own best-case scenario.
That space? That’s where the sale happens.
Because what they picture in their head is more powerful than anything you can promise them.
When you compete on raw claims ("We'll save you 100 hours a month")
You're in a race to the top…
…that ends in disbelief.
Your prospects don't need a bigger promise.
They just need a starting point and a ‘best-case scenario’ to imagine.
Here's what this looks like for an AI service for client onboarding:
“We’ll automate your onboarding… how fast you start billing and delivering for new clients is up to you.”
It’s so simple, but here’s what you’ve done:
1. Triggered their imagination to build scenarios
2. Avoid skepticism by never overstepping reality
3. Create emotional buy-in because they authored the win, not you
This is powerful because a prospect who has mentally pictured the win will have fewer objections.
Think of your service like a matchstick.
It's not meant to be the fire, just the spark.
The buyer's imagination is the oxygen.
Give it room, and you’ve got yourself a hot lead.
Hand them the starting point and let them finish the story…
Then you're no longer selling your vision → you're selling theirs.
The future someone builds in their own head is what they’ll pay to move into.
The mind trusts what it creates more than what it's told.
